Instructor: Herim Park
Herim Park is a multidisciplinary graphic designer, illustrator, and maker based in Los Angeles. Herim has taught in various environments including overseas missions, non-profit organizations, local art schools, and private institutes. She holds a BFA in Art, (Graphic Design) from the California Institute of the Arts.

In this class, students will create interdisciplinary projects inspired by contemporary art, learning art vocabulary words, new materials and techniques, and ways to look at art. Projects include drawing and painting, printmaking, sculptures, and more.

Jisoo Chung
Jisoo Chung is an artist and educator working primarily through video, installation and performance. She received her MFA from UCLA in Art (New Genres) and BFA from Seoul National University in the Department of Painting.

Designed for students preparing for their college portfolios or wanting to find/develop their artistic voice. Instructors will guide students through their medium of choice and challenge students to create works that are impactful and cohesive.

Ceramics Workshops Series Session #1: Drawing on Clay

Instructor: Anais Franco
Anais Franco is the creator of studio sachi. With her interest in archiving and storytelling, Anais likes to bring techniques from lost times, back into the classroom and primarily teaches through different drawing methods. She holds a BFA in Art from CalArts.


Do you love to draw? Are you curious about materials? Dive into the world of clay artistry in this engaging 5-week course designed for all levels! Participants will explore drawing applications on clay slabs, learn three distinct clay techniques, and create unique, flat sculptural artworks suitable for display on the wall or floor.

Ceramics Workshops Series
Session #2: Foraged Vases

Days: Fridays
Time: 4:00-6:00 pm

Instructor: Seoyen Choi

Using foraged materials like soil, sand, and rocks, participants will create a nature-inspired ceramic vase that allows for creative flower arrangements. Participants will learn how to incorporate foraged materials to create surfaces that reflect textures in nature, build their own ceramic vases (one miniature maquette and one sculptural vase), and create a flower arrangement in their finished pieces using foraged greens and flowers.

Session #3: Sip & Slip

Instructor: Misty Choi

Misty EunJoo Choi is a Korean multidisciplinary artist currently living and working in Los Angeles. She received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is a current UCLA MFA candidate in sculpture. Her solo exhibition in 2022 was represented by Rainbowcube Gallery, Seoul. Her publication 2021 is in stock at Printed Matter, Inc., New York.


This session delves into the transformative potential of everyday objects through interactive ceramic sculpture. Participants will explore how to design and sculpt unique cups that are meant to provoke thought, evoke emotions, and encourage interpersonal interactions. Students will create a growing collection of ceramic sculptural cups that respond to personal questions, transforming the studio into an interactive installation.
